Treetop Residency: A RUWT Summer July 24–26, 2026 · Haliburton Highlands Three treehouses. Eleven guests. Two nights suspended in the Dahl Forest. The moment you step out of your car, something shifts. The air is different here. The ground beneath your feet, the canopy above, the quiet that isn't quite silence — it arrives before you've unpacked, before anything has been designed or facilitated. It's just the land, doing what it does. There is a stream on the property that guests find on their own — cool, clear, unhurried. A rooftop terrace where dawn arrives slowly, birdsong threading through the trees before the light does. A fireplace that makes a room of strangers feel like people who have known each other for years. A dinner table where conversation goes somewhere it doesn't usually go. This is what we build the residency around — not manufactured moments, but the conditions that let real ones happen.
Forty-eight hours designed so carefully that by Sunday, you won't be able to point to the moment everything shifted — only that it did.
Here's what two nights in the Dahl Forest actually looks like.
The Weekend
You arrive Friday afternoon to a warm drink and a property that asks nothing of you yet. By evening, you're around a long table with people you didn't know this morning, eating something you helped make, laughing about something you didn't expect.
Saturday opens slowly — dawn on the rooftop if you want it, a communal breakfast if you don't. The day moves through the forest and backcountry, a picnic at a waterfall, an afternoon making something with your hands using what the land provided. By nightfall, the conversation at the table goes somewhere real.
Sunday is unhurried. A water-floating soundbath. A closing ritual that gives the weekend a shape — something to hold, something to carry home.
You'll leave with a keepsake, a few people who feel less like strangers, and a clarity that's hard to name but easy to feel.
